STORY: This digital artwork tells the story of tommeginne country. It depicts the flora of the area with wattle, gum and pigface in abundance. It shows the mountains and waterways of the country, along with bull kelp which is also in abundance, specifically in the north western corner of lutruwita. The native plants as well as bull the kelp were all used by our people as food, tools and medicines. The large meeting place is where community come together as the beginnings of reconciliation. The hatching inside the meeting place symbol depicts fishing, as fishing in the area was and still is, a large part of our food source.
