Sloop Reef Print

Sloop Reef is a idyllic spot, tucked away at the end of Taylors Beach along the world renowned stretch of coastline known as Bay of Fires.

It is where the bush meets the sea, with white sand, crystal clear water and granite rock tinged with orange lichen. A secluded mermaid pool sits just above the high tide mark and is deep enough for the biggest of bombs and cold enough to necessitate a wetsuit. You can only access the pool by a walking track through the bush.

This world conservation area is truly spectacular and a favourite place of mine to visit at any time of the year.
