Toxicity

How do we stack up against others? Why do we compare ourselves to them? Why can’t we just be who we are and be happy with that? The role of toxic comparison plays a part in all our lives at some point, but why do we let it? This artwork is showing that we can infact stack up against those we think we can’t. There is a place for all of us in this world. We will all fit in somewhere, somehow.

The bold purple and turquoise lines in this artwork are overshadowing the black lines, or darkness, within us. The mustard coloured dots pale in comparison, reminding us to outplay that darkness and embrace our quirkiness, our boldness and to stand tall.
